While all of Kate's recommendations look classic and interesting, I can't take anything too serious (or anything hardback) when I'm being a bum or traveling, so if you are looking for just some fluff reading for the beach, the pool, or the plane, I have enjoyed these three books by Emily Giffin that are now all available in paperback (I got mine at Costco for under $8 each)...

Read Something Borrowed first, then Something Blue, then Baby Proof. They are definitely fun and quick reads, which is perfect when you are lazing about this summer. Enjoy!
